| Hot of the Wires off the Phaque-Phicktickshus News Service OBAMA CAMPAIGN FLOATS DOPPLEGANGER THEORY S.J. Murphy, PPNS Correspondent- In the face of a barrage of criticism that both Senators Obama and Biden have openly contradicted themselves in recent statements, the Campaign is testing the waters for an "otherworldly" explanation. Even those supportive of the ticket have voiced concerns about inconsistent statements made by the two on issues ranging from their plans to prosecute the Bush administration to the war. Said one unnamed Hillary supporter, "It's amazing. They say one thing on Monday and the polar opposite on Tuesday." An Obama campaign spokesman has admitted that there are profound discrepancies, saying, "If it looks like there are two different Obamas and two different Bidens, that just might be exactly what's going on." The spokesman went on to suggest that half of recent interviews were not actually conducted with the candidates but with "doppelgangers of the two". The word "Doppleganger" has its roots in a German word for body double. Doppleganger are defined in the annals of the paranormal and supernatural as being ghostly and sinister clones or doubles of innocent living persons. Said a high ranking Democratic Party official, "We don't know the source of these evil clones- but we have suspicions. I wouldn't be surprised if Sarah Palin was behind it. We've never actually met anybody from Alaska but we figure it is extremely primitive up there. Without modern conveniences they are probably driven to things like witchcraft." When asked how the Obama-Biden Campaign could tell which entities had actually given a specific interview, the campaign spokesman responded, saying, "That's easy! When a statement is criticized or unpopular, then we know one of the Doppleganger said it." Sources refused to confirm as to whether the Doppleganger also receive Secret Service protection. |

have shown physical revulsion at the very
mention of GOD or his close associates in any
public setting are now wrestling each other for
the microphone so that they can compare
Obama to Jesus and Palin to Pontius Pilate. This
turn of events is dangerous for them. They've
accomplished something McCain could not. They
have shaken loose from their wagon the last few
stubborn Christians who were still hanging on.

some sage advice for these liberals:

Florida Rep. Alcee Hastings this past week warned two minority groups to beware of
Sarah Palin because "anybody toting guns and stripping moose don't care too much
what they do with Jews and Blacks." Talk about a racist liberal! This is the typical and
total ignorance that exists in the Democratic Party. Hastings, who is black and a
Democrat, made the comment in Florida at a panel discussion hosted by the National
Jewish Democratic Council. The group recently criticized Palin's invitation to an anti-Iran
rally held during Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinajad's visit to New York to speak
to the UN General Assembly.
Hastings went on to shoot off his mouth by saying, "If Sarah Palin isn't enough of a
reason to get over whatever your problem is with Obama, then you damn well had
better pay attention".
Rep. Hastings has stooped to the worst kind of divisive politics. His racist remarks do
nothing but sow seeds of fear and divide people. There is no place in our country for
this sort of political discourse. We can constructively disagree on the issues without
denigrating others. This writer has no idea how many of you Americans hunt moose
,but a lot of you, I know, tote guns and the Democrat Party had better realize that!.
Remember, we, here in Small- Town America, do cling to our religion and our right to
own guns.

for perjury and corruption. Elected to Congress (yes, that's right) in 1992, he supported

Objectively speaking, both Biden and Palin achieved their objectives in this little
matchup. However, Biden as the veteran Senator, perennial presidential hopeful
and household name should have mopped up the stage with the insignificant
upstart standing at the other podium. That didn't happen. The Governor of
Alaska managed to put the veteran US Senator on the defensive more often
then not. Biden kept hitting the buttons he needed to but Palin succeeded in
injecting electricity and personality. She spoke with authority , passion and
directness.
We didn't expect Joe Biden to have been any better acquainted with the facts
than he ever has been in his career. Our expectations were met. He played fast
and lose with everybody's voting record. He contradicted himself so often I
started to think he'd been joined by an evil twin. With Sarah Palin- agree with
her or not- there is only one clear, resolute and genuine voice.
Palin kept her cool. She was powerful and affable. Biden became meaner as
time wore on. He became a little snider- a tad more pompous throughout the
evening. By contrast, Palin seemed to become more comfortable in her setting
and more in command of the event. She was wise, as well, to ignore Biden's
angry assertion that people didn't think a single father could understand middle
class struggles as he tearfully discussed the tragic accident that took his wife.
Where did that come from? Neither the moderator nor Palin made any remark
remotely close to that. It was cloying and gratuitous and tainted what might have
been his only real personal moment of the night.
Obama Not Much on Guns- But He Sure Can use
a Silencer. Just Ask the NRA!
Wonder what life would be like in a kingdom where George Soros pulls the
strings on an Obama puppet? Check out what the Obama camp is trying to do to
the NRA and you get a glimpse. The thug-like Obama legal team is using
strong-arm tactics that include threatening lawsuits and the lose of FCC
licensing to intimidate radio and cable broadcasters from running ads produced
by and paid for by the NRA. These ads are clearly critical of anti-gun statements
and actions of Obama and Biden. The Obama team is telling broadcasters that
they are legally bound to protect the public from material that is "misleading" and
"deceptive". If the Obama think tank is allowed to become the arbiter of that, we
are doomed.
Of all the outrageous behavior I've seen from these people, this is perhaps the
most telling. There is no doubt in my mind that under Obama rule, dissidents
in this country will be silenced.
In Bail-Out Furor Hard-Nosed Conservatives Have
Forgotten that the Liberal Dems WANT a Depression!
Conservatives are making the current economic situation very complex. For the
opposition it is simple: "How can we use this to elect Barrack Obama?" Every
action- every word is fueled not by fact or theory- not by any level of the
legislative process- but by the single, shared, dedicated goal of electing Barrack
Obama.
What worked for them before? "It's the economy, stupid." That ever
repeated mantra worked before to get an ill-prepared Democrat into the
White House. Because of Obama's lack of foreign affairs gravitas, it's got an
even better chance now.
Do you think Nancy Pelosi so angered House Republicans by accident? Don't
be silly. She's a bit of a twit, but she possesses remarkable political cunning.
She wanted at least portions of this bill to be beyond conservative tolerance.
She wants this bailout to fail. She wants this bailout to fail specifically at the
hands of Republicans. And then she wants the press to begin the depression
cry. Then she wants those foreign leaders so excited at the prospect of a
malleable peacenik like Obama at the helm to pound the drums of global
monetary collapse.
Then- then she and Harry and Barrack and their whole unholy alliance will have
what they have been seeking lo these many months: everybody saying, "It's the
economy, stupid" and Obama riding that wave to a victory.
Conservatives, continue to play right into their hands. So honest, so direct, so
linear in our thinking, we have, again, failed to see the big picture of the
opposition strategy. We seem proud of our total lack of Machiavellian
understanding at the mercy of these masters. We are on the verge of losing
everything- because we allow them to define the game. We allow them to set the
rules and lay out the board. We just react. We always lose because we always
roll second. We're always behind the curve.
My take: a bailout goes against my conservative grain- but it is needed. If it does
not happen, in some form, an Obama-voting soup line will extend into the voting
booths. The trick is that we need to take control of the plan. Real control- not
just responding to the Democrat efforts to make it a Trojan horse stuffed with
liberal goody bags. Real control- making it temporary with enforceable
accountability. But instead- as usual- we've played THEIR game.
If I were John McCain I would announce that Mitt Romney will be leading the
economic recovery team in my administration. On Wednesday I would
present a plan developed by my team and I, and then I would tell the
Democrats to put up or shut up. If they fail to get on board, maybe McCain
could be the one saying, "It's the economy, stupid."
Conservatives must choose now between losing this battle or losing the whole
bloody war

consider this.
Alaska is the first line of defense in our missile interceptor defense system. The 49th
Missile Defense Battalion of the Alaska National Guard is the unit that protects the
entire nation from ballistic missile attacks. It's on permanent active duty, unlike other
Guard units.
As governor of Alaska , Palin is briefed on highly classified military issues, homeland
security, and counterterrorism. Her exposure to classified material may rival even
Biden's and certainly by far exceeds Obama's. She's also the commander in chief of
the Alaska State Defense Force (ASDF), a federally recognized militia incorporated
into Homeland Security's counterterrorism plans.
Palin is privy to military and intelligence secrets that are vital to the entire country's
defense. Given Alaska 's proximity to Russia , she may have security clearances we
don't even know about.
According to the Washington Post, she first met with McCain in February, but nobody
ever found out. This is a woman used to keeping secrets. She can be entrusted with
our national security, because she already is.

| Being a former pork produce I took exception to the controversy over the statement “If you put lipstick on a pig”. (Miss Piggy must not have gotten the memo). The conservatives called “fowl” but the real damage was done to the swine population. Here are a few tidbits of information that might shed a new light on my four-footed friends. *Pork provides B-vitamins, protein and three times as much thiamine to our diets. Thiamin then changes carbohydrates into energy and promotes a healthy appetite. *Approximately 40 medicines including insulin are made from pigs. *Hog heart valves have been used to replace damaged human ones. *Pigs do not overeat. They only eat until full. *Hogs are not dirty animals as perceived, They only roll in the mud to keep cool because they can’t sweat. *Pig fat has been used in everything from weed killers to cosmetics, floor wax, crayons and antifreeze. *Hogs are smart animals and can be taught to pull a lever to get a drink of water and a bowl of food. *Pigs are brave animals…one saved a boy from drowning and other hogs have gone to war serving as mine sniffers in the battlefields. *In colonial America hogs were driven to market in large groups over trails that later became routes used by the railroads. *In the 1800’s Farmers started calling their pigs “Mortgage Lifters” as the profit from the sales of hogs helped pay for their new homesteads. *In earlier times some farmers would turned the hogs out to find their own food. On Manhattan Island in New York the hogs did damage to grain fields and farmers were then forced to build a wall to keep them out. The street running along side this wall became know as Wall Street. *The term “Uncle Sam” representing the U.S. Government came about during the War of 1812 when a New York pork packer named Uncle Sam Wilson shipped a several hundreds of barrels of pork to U.S. Troops. *The term “pork barrel politics’ is derived from the pre-Civil War era practice of distributing salt pork out of huge barrels. Later that led congressmen to referring to regularly dipping into the “pork barrel” when obtaining popular projects for their home districts. So the next time you are in a heated debate and start using other old savings such as “living high on the hog”, “a pig in a poke” and “pearls before swine” remember the words of President Harry S. Truman “No man should be allowed to be President who does not understand hogs.” |

Dem Party Mask Slips- Is that a

You have to watch them closely for they move quickly and reposition frequently. But
if you are lucky and alert you may get a glimpse. When Barrack Obama called the
female reporter "sweetie" while completely dismissing her and her legitimate
questions, for just a few seconds we saw a man very used to sending the women to
the kitchen so the menfolk could talk about important things. We saw him again
when it was time to choose a running mate. Despite her incredibly high vote total,
Obama euphemistically patted Hillary on the head and sent her out of the room so
the menfolk could run the country.
Barrack's friends are back and we can see many flashes of their true faces as they
tap-dance rapid attacks on Sarah Palin. They question her ability to mother and
govern at the same time, dismissing her education and experience- because they
belong to a "her" and not a "him".
Keep your eye on the waltzing Dems. Their masks are bound to slip more and
more. You will see chauvinism, elitism and more. And as this masquerade ball
nears its November end, expect to see many a glimpse of fear behind those
Democrat masks.

Liberals are not exempt. Sandra Bernhard must be called on her appalling racism.
During her recent public tirade about Sarah Palin, she ended up by promising that
she (Bernhard) would have Palin gang-raped by some "Big, black" men.
Lets take Palin out of the equation. She's come up against grizzlies and moose. She
can certainly handle herself with some oddball, b list comedienne. Maybe,
threatening gang-rape is SOSP for Bernhard when she disagrees politically with
someone. Who knows- and really now, who cares?
What we do care about here, at THE COOL CONSERVATIVE is that when she was
selecting her functionary gang-rapists, she described them as black. Not one or
two- but the whole rapist gang is black. This is outrageous! How dare she
characterize an entire race that way? Every black man- no less- big black man- in
New York should be mortally offended by this. Supporting Barrack Obama does not
excuse her- nor does it give her license to demean an entire group of people.
This one is so big it almost broke the dial on our Liberal Hypocrisy Meter.

others like Imas, Limbaugh- even Michael Richards? Yet, not one of them came
even remotely close to assigning criminal behavior to African-American men they

This is not the time for nasty comebacks. This is the time for astute observations.
By paying close attention to Barrack Obama's body language, gestures and facial
expressions just prior to his infamous PiggyGate remarks, we can clearly see what
was going on with the orator.
The context of the remarks reveals that the speech was not terribly intense or
momentous in content at that moment. Yet, Obama slowed his pace, turned to the
side. He "uhmmed and ahhhed" more than usual. On his face was a clear
expression of turmoil and inner conflict, He even took his hand and laid it against
his forehead in a show of great frustration. There was not a glimmer of a smile.
Then he said it. Encouraged by the crowd he got into it like a standup comic on a
roll.
Why all the visible consternation leading up to the remark? Obama knew that this
ploy could backfire. He knew that his wisecrack had the potential for self-destruction.
Most likely he was cajoled into the act by flippant advisors, had a little debate with
himself and lost..

pig? No, of course not. To be so blatant and crude would have been incredibly
stupid and the man is not stupid. Did he think he could get away with a sly, cute,
cloaked jab at the Governor? Yes, of course. This guy is cocky and glib and he has
what my mother used to call a "smartmouth". Bearing the same affliction, I
understand well the pitfalls of the condition.
I'm sure Obama thought he could make a veiled reference to the Governor safely by
being indirect and by using a saying that has even been used by John McCain. And
I'm sure he thought that even if someone took offense, he could glide over it on the
wings of the glib charm that had served him so well up to a month ago.
But alas, as a smartmouth has a tendency to do, he went too far. He thought that
the lipstick-wearing-pig epithet was so cute and so sly, he could pair it up with one
for Sarah's running mate. He hauled out the stinking fish proverb. How do I know
that it was intended to have the same sort of oblique reference to McCain as lipstick-
pig had to Palin? It's because he pointedly described the fish as being OLD. The
roots of his remark refer to any fish stinking as any fish will. I simply think a very glib
guy thought he could get a veiled jab at McCain's age in while he was at it- and a
very cocky guy basking in the affection lavished upon him by followers and press did
not expect to be called on it.
He was feeding into the crowd reaction and failed to have the discipline to see that
his clever remarks were not as "stealth" as he'd hoped. He had many opportunities
to save the situation- by stopping, redirecting his words or by correcting the crowd in
their obvious inference. His judgment was bad but we shouldn't overreact to this. We
should have a reaction however- one that does reflect our discretion and discipline.

more sarcastic and more reactive as time goes on. We need only wait.

Sarah Palin seems to be a catalyst for extreme behavior for
those who disagree with her. I noticed that when she used the
word "lipstick" feminists had (to use a psychiatric term) a bloody

There has always been an unwritten Campaign Commandment stating
that a candidate's family, especially children, are off limits. With their
discussion of incest in the Palin family, Saturday Night Live committed
a mortal sin and have given ample cause for many to question the
show's relevance.
Although I do not watch this program as a rule, I'm told it has glimmers
of humor and is a more entertaining arm of the liberal propaganda
machine. My conservative friends who are viewers have learned a
thick-skinned tolerance. I say tolerance is no longer appropriate.
The Palins are real People-real daughters and their father being
discussed in such an obscene way. I don't give a damn how funny the
skit was. You don't do this to real people. The show's laughably weak
excuse is that they were ridiculing the press. Apparently they believe
the American people are stupid. I don't believe we are. We will not
accept that alibi. The only way that would wash is if the New York
Times had actually written an incest story and SNL was ribbing them
for printing it. Such is not the case! No, the words about Palin family
incest were written by SNL writers. It makes absolutely no difference
which characters said the words or in which skit. No amount of verbal
tap dancing will sway me. The Palin family was demeaned in this vile
way with the simple and ultimate goal of persuading viewers to vote
for Barrack Obama. What could be more cold or inhuman?

My Phone started ringing immediately after the conclusion of Part Two of Charlie Gibson's interview with
Sarah Palin.
Although most thought Palin may not have hit it completely out of the park, the general consensus is
that she did well. Words like "fine" and "good" and "solid" are used. She was as advertised- unvarnished
and unflinching. Even the eight minute hit piece that ABC used to set up the execution failed to raise
many eyebrows. "Of course. It's ABC. Anything negative they can find- they'll highlight. Naturally. What's
new?"
No. Nobody is really talking about any of that. It seems that Charlie Gibson stole his own show. People
are abuzz about his demeanor. It was so obviously
intentional and practiced. His inflection and phrasing: that of a grade school teacher barely patient with
a disappointing student- the ever scowling- glowering facial expression- his pompous posture, looking
down his nose with an attitude oh so very condescending. Yes, we all noticed all this and more about ol'
Charlie.
The job of a truly skillful interviewer is to be almost invisible- a tool that reveals truths and surprises from
the mind and heart of his subject. Gibson's brethren in the establishment media loyally say he was
successful but he was not. Shockingly Gibson made a rookie mistake. He was so caught up in his
imagined mission to unmask what he thought to be an unworthy candidate that he forgot to perform that
most basic task of sharing the reality of his subject with his audience.
This has nothing to do with "tough" questions. I was looking forward to seeing Palin respond to a
challenging interrogation. I had a feeling that's when Sarah Palin goes into high gear. My feeling was
only confirmed. But this tough interview actually revealed very little about her not already known and no
real surprises. No, the revelation here was the interviewer. Previous to this Gibson had a decent
reputation among people of all political persuasions. But thanks to his own presentation of himself, most
have a vastly diminished view of him. My brother, Kip, our News and Research Editor said it well,
"Gibson did himself a great disservice. I can't believe even a liberal woman would be comfortable
watching him now. I almost feel sorry for the guy."

Bill Maher has compared the McCain-Palin pairing to an
Airport-style movie in which the "stewardess" lands the
plane. Tough talk from a guy who could only hope to be
cast as that miserably misanthropic, curmudgeonly, nasty
passenger who complains about everything. Yes, Maher
so superior to the steward would most certainly be cast to
type as that man who is always so ready to condemn
others- alone and ultimately useless. Perhaps someone
should remind him that the little stewardess did just fine.
She stepped up and accomplished feats most men could
not. Yes she did land the plane, saving the day and many
lives.

The only consistent criticism that the lefties have been able to launch against McCain
in the Debate is that he did not look at Obama. I would have had a hard time looking
at Obama, myself. Call me old fashioned, but I have a hard time looking at any guy
with that much eye make-up! Yes, I know, everyone learned great lessons from Nixon's
disastrous decision to refuse all make-up, but HOLY HOLLYWOOD! Obama was
beautiful! Seriously, the event was not staged to encourage that kind of exchange. It
could be it was simply physically uncomfortable for McCain to turn that way.
Obama's awkward unfamiliarity with his own bracelet did tell us that he is not above
the use of a gimmick or a prop. McCain failed to be opportunistic in landing
punches or directly answering charges. He seems unwilling to abandon his stock
phraseology even when it is the wrong fit for the task at hand. Obama was pretty
smooth but veered off into smug-flippant land a little too often. McCain did keep his
temper under control and managed to paint Obama as a young whippersnapper.
All in all- not much we didn't know. I doubt if any "undecideds" were swayed either way.
Although mildly entertaining, in retrospect, I should have cleaned out the refrigerator
